This Department of Industry, Science and Resources required skilled personnel to deliver data analytics and business intelligences expertise and services were required to enable divisions and business areas to utilise the data and platforms established. This included a program delivering services and grants to Australian businesses.

Data Knowhow identified appropriate personnel to fill this role who:
Worked with staff to scope technology, data and business needs.
Identified errors with geospatial reporting data were identified, and solutions implemented using our geospatial tools.
Developed new SQL queries were developed to merge and simplify insights from various corporate databases.
Used Power BI to deliver automated data and business intelligence insights daily using branding of the program and data visualisation standards implemented by our staff. Power BI templates were created, and reports delivered for to support insights on program analysis, program impact, ministerial/executive reporting, and progress against targets.
Created programs to check for data and reporting errors.
Used external datasets were used to develop insights into program impacts on the broader Australian community and businesses. These are tools to be used throughout the life of the program to assess impact.
Trained staff on data management and communication to continue to deliver and expand reporting requirements.
Provided advice and guidance on future data and reporting needs to implement.

The client was very happy with the deliverables from our staff. They are able to report confidently on the status and impact of the program to Australian businesses, including impact by regions. Information on program can be accessed on a daily basis, with processes allowing information to be updated automatically. Staff have been able to use this information to respond to a range of requests.
